Have you ever wondered, as you sit at your keyboard, or in front of your keyboard, if there are any secrets to successful novel writing? Well here they are – the five tips. If you can remember these secrets especially to learning how to write a romance novel, you’re going to be a successful writer or novel writer in not time. But don’t forget, these secrets, although they help, they can be regarded as worthless if you don’t apply it. These are just solid rules of the thumb that one needs to follow to become a successful author.
First of all, even though you will be working for yourself and you have all the time in the world, no boss or whatsoever, you need to adopt a professional attitude towards your work. The point is, don’t be like those other so-called writers who will only do some writing ‘when they can’ and/or if they are only in the mood. You need to change this attitude right now. Set a regular time to work. If you say 4:00 AM to 9:00 PM, then, go for it.
Second is you need to identify your target market, determine who will you write for? Don’t fall for the trick of writing something because it sells very well today. If you want to learn how to write a romance novel even if science fiction are current best-sellers, go ahead and learn how to write a romantic novel and start writing stories of the heart.
Three is, you need to believe in yourself that you can make it.
Four is, you need to have full support from your family. But if you get some discouragements from them, don’t be frustrated. Just go on with your work and there is no one there to give a first moral support to you other than yourself. And the last one, be prepared to receive and accept rejection. Don’t expect too much but just prepare for anything especially when you write a romance novel.
So, there you go five tips on how to write and again, always remember, these can’t work for you if you don’t follow the system or don’t apply this in real time.
