Why does George Bush think it is better to discard unwanted embryos instead of using them for research?
George Bush has not vetoed a single piece of legislation, but today he is going to take a stand on this? Stopping the federal government from funding research that could cure Alzheimer’s and many other diseases. So other countries can do this research and get ahead of us on medical technology. And for what? So that people should throw away unneeded embryos instead of using them for research? Is anyone appalled by this?
People need to understand that the embryos we are talking about are sitting in freezers across America. They are left over from infertility treatments. No one can force people to try to implant them into someone else’s uterus. That would be like forcing you to have a child with someone you do not know. If these embryos are not used for research, they WILL be thrown in the trash. They will not march out of the freezer and turn into a human being.
once again, this administration is using fear to justify their doings. People are ‘afraid’ that abortions will be used, they are ‘afraid’ of the fact that animals and humans are already, and have always been used for testing. They are ‘afraid’ that the frozen embryo might be the next Einstein, or some other genius we have yet to see from the live births that have taken place since Einstein. They are ‘afraid’ that their taxes will go up. They are ‘afraid’ god might see it as condoning abortion. Most are happy to stick their heads in the sand and believe everything the administration tells them without question, for ‘fear’ the terrorists might get them and their families. It is shameless. I’d personally like to know How Many embryos the Bush family destroyed after they were done with their fertility treatments to have the twins. And since the majority of those pregnancies end up being triplets or more, I’d like to know how many fetuses the Bush’s destroyed in Laura’s womb, to get that number down to two. Anybody who stands on religion for this one needs to understand, those embryos were man made, not ‘;miracles from god’. End of Rant
