which of these books is the best ?
i have to read one of these books for school this comming year, which one should i read ?

I’ve only read three on this list: Christy, This Present Darkness and The Hiding Place. (I have been told Tuesdays with Morrie was good but haven’t read it.)
These three are all good but each is very different than the other two.
Christy by Catherine Marshall is novel about a woman in the early 1900s who goes to teach the poor mountain children. It is historical fiction, based on her own mother’s experience and is very interesting. For the main character, it is like traveling into a completely different world than the one with which she is familiar.
This Present Darkness by Frank Peretti is, basically, a supernatural thriller about spiritual warfare – so there are angels fighting the demons trying to control the people. When I read this one, I thought it was both fascinating and unlike anything else I’d read.
The Hiding Place by Corrie ten Boom is a true account of hers and her family’s life during World War II. Her family sheltered Jewish people; hiding them from the Nazis. When they were betrayed, the family was sent to Concentration camps. I found this one poignant. On the one hand, you get to see their courage in doing right and on the other you see the horror of the Nazis and that time.
The three I’ve read are all worth reading. Which you choose depends on what type appeals to you most, I suppose. It’s difficult to state emphatically that one is better than the others.
I’m not sure how much this helps, but hopefully you will enjoy whichever you read.
